A quickie before Off

I feel the urge to blog before I off to CNY holidays. Haha! Sounds as if I am taking leave from work and gotta clear all the hands-on stuffs.

True enough. I have a long list of to-dos to be completed tonight before I fly tomorrow morning, literally I mean my heart.

There are quite some to share here but I figured out all my photos are still stuck in my phone and the moment I was searching for my cable to transfer those lovely pics I figured out I don't know where did I misplace it and a second later I remember cause I am using it for charging wtf. #blurqueen

Past few days had been remarkably hard to survive. Survived from a week of damn shitty hot weather, survived a flu, which finally starting to get better today fml, survived the truth that I was supposed to submit an interim report last month #truestory, survived the hectic lab schedule that I wanna clear off badly so that I can have the longest CNY break ever since I came here.

And also finally paid a visit to the brunch place I wanted go badly and squeezed my way through Chinatown pre-CNY. This was my first time there before CNY and guess what the last time I was there before this visit was one and half year ago gosh. All these when I was having quite a bad flu and when the weather was damn shitty and not being friendly at all.

Well, I can't do talking solely, it will bored you to death though I don't know why that I seem to be in chatterbox mood now. Maybe cause of the awaiting long holidays. :D

Even so, the enjoyment has a paid-off, life has not be so good to me wtf. Project to be done during the 1-week leave, rehearsal on the day I touch down and presentation in the early morning next day. #ilovelife I am loving my life, SERIOUSLY.

I should go pack and sleep soon to catch the earliest bus. :)

Til then!

In case I won't be blogging anymore before the CNY. Happy Chinese New Year to everyone who celebrates! :)

Hopefully the Dragon year won't be that rocky bumpy for me. #prayhard

过年了!

It is not too early I assume? Totally tuned in CNY mood now.

Counting down to home!~ The best thing ever to look forward! :D

《开心过年》动画版MV [高清版] from Astro本地圈 on Vimeo.

Lalalala~

The song is kinda, well I can't find a word to describe it. Still prefer the traditional CNY songs though. Probably cause they are my childhood memory ehem. Meaningful lyrics though. And can you see how cute the Dragon is? :D Dragon Baby ROCKZZZ! ♥

“这个世界有多大,最重要过的开心啦”

The more we wanna pursue after, the harder it is for us to achieve. Happiness, the highly sought after wealth, how many people are actually wealthy then?

I haz curls

Think I have never blog about my hair before. Oh well, there is nothing good to be blogged about it anyway. Not like I have healthy, silky, smooth, pretty hair and a list of hair regime to share with you all also wtf. Even if I shared don't trust me, later your hair grow like bushes in Aussie. LOL!

But I made a remarkable move to my hair now, after gathered all my courage with a little bit of impulsive thoughts, which I guess I ought to write a note on it. To remember how brave I was wtf.

And I also just realized that I don't usually post my big face here. HAHA! Cause I look damn scary/fugly with a mustache! :(

But with Iphone front camera quality, still bearable. (Please bear with me even though you disagree.)

But then, in the memory of my straight hair, which after much determination, I kept it til this long! *must be more thick-skinned nowadays*

And also cause I miss it so much T___T

It couldn't be possible if I didn't rebond my hair. Again, the nature of my hair is a bit too messy for me to keep til this long. My mom would go on nagging like for forever just for me to get rid of that grass. How sad! :( Why she never thought of she inherited the gene to me, not that I want also! :p Well, to be slightly grateful, at least my bushy hair won't make me bald so soon. :D #optimistic

After 23 years, I finally waved goodbye to straight-styled hair, exactly on the last day of 2011. Ok, my natural hair isn't that straight in fact but I die die want to think that it is more to straight than wavy. #fml

My hair was damn long!

But it is still long now la!

Being a brave soldier, I permed my hair! Whatever terminology or technology it is, can never differentiate what is defined by perm/curl/straighten/rebond, I now have a curly bushy hair!

You wanna see the end result? HAHA!

A new hairstyle hoping for a better new year? Think too much.

Can see? I think the mickey occupied larger area than my bushy hair wtf. I am still a bit shy with my new hairstyle, so slowly k? :p

I don't want to frightened anyone with my new hairstyle, especially those who frequent here and have not see me in a while. And also because until now, I am still at accepting stage to the curls! #fml I think no one will ever be like me, hesitating for the longest period ever just to figure out what to do with my hair. =.= Now it is finally done, I am still trying to accept it. I finally know what the fear my babi friend told me about. LOL!

I am slowly getting used to it now.

Of all, the major concern is if I will be looking darn old in curls. Heard of too many friends commented at others who did curls after a semester break and none are good. #pathetic Straighten is still alright cause I guess no people will look ugly with straight hair? Was a bit afraid then but only for a while cause basically everyone is ignoring my new hair! =.= But I assume they don't want to hurt me so they must be commenting at the back, which I think is nothing good also. The only "comment" I got was my hairstyle is shocking =.= Whatever it is, I cannot waste the money I spent on it. So you and you, are gonna bear with me and my curls til I am getting rid of it. HAHAHA!

Don't care if I look old or what anymore. Cause I am indeed not that young (but still below mid 20s k) and a working adult soon, hopefully. I am just being a bit dramatic about the drastic change of my hair. Thanks for reading though! =X

Arnold fries Fried Chicken

New semester starting tomorrow.

It is also my very final semester in NTU. *sob* If I successfully passed all modules and FYP. :D Can't wait for graduation but uncertainties ahead seems to bother me more than anticipating the next turning point of life.

Went to try Arnold's fried chicken @ Geylang yesterday. Q was not as long as I expected. Located it by chance cause initial plan was to shop around and explore the east side.

Waited for less than half an hour to be seated. They have 3 branches the one I went to is at City Plaza, a wholesale shopping mall in Singapore. Was trying to find cheap deals over there but guess I don't really fancy digging clothes out of mess. Perhaps you can find great stuffs if you are not as impatient and "princess" as me. Read from the forum that City Plaza usually don't entertain walk-in shoppers or they prefer you to buy in bulk, for example min. 3 pieces for each design. But judging from yesterday, most of the shops now do retail like other shopping mall. It is also much safer compared to what I read. LOL!

Back to Arnold's.

Ordered a set of fried chicken, served with fries, buns and drinks. Total damage was around S$22.50?

Yummy fries! Only while hot. Became rather hard after cooled =.=. Taste nicer than KFC's or McD. But I still prefer Carl's Junior's. :) More potato fillings.

I think they fried everything (except coleslaw) including the buns. Quite oily and the texture was a bit hard.

The main dish you got to try!

Fried chicken! :)

Read review that dunno which part of the fried chicken tasted better, guess due to the demand now they put up a notice outside banning the customers from "personalized" their chicken's part. To me, all chicken's part taste the same wtf.

For the fried chicken, juicier and tenderer compared to KFC's and tasted yummier too! Cause Arnold only fried the chicken upon your order, which is what I assumed cause the chickens were damn HOT when they served it. It actually took quite some times for the fried chicken to be served and I was damn hungry even though they served fries and bun for us to munch on. So I guess fried chicken only taste nice when eat hot unlike KFC, where they usually serve "cooler" chicken. Not trying to patronized Arnold cause no reason for me to do so. I still love KFC though, their cheesy wedges are heavenly YUMMY that I can't find anywhere else except in Msia. ♥ Can't wait to go back and eat them! :)

Arnold's fried chicken tasted a bit spicy but there is no flavour for you to choose from. That's the only kind of fried chicken you gonna get. The spiciness is similar to like pepper but it is not overwhelming that totally burns our your taste bud and you can't taste anything beside SPICY. In fact I hate those spicy fried chicken that only made the tongue numb by spiciness and can't taste the goodness of the fried chicken itself. (Am I making sense? LOL!) So I would actually rate 4/5 for the taste. :) Not a big fans of fried chicken and I always go for burger while dining in KFC. :p Partially cause I was too lazy to use my licking fingers to eat them up.

Since it is served hot from the cooking, please expect the chicken to be a bit tad oily. And of course watch out your fingers too! It is so hot that we needed to wait it to cool off slightly before starting to eat like hungry ghost. I didn't know that fried chicken (or maybe the oil) can be that filling that it actually affected my appetite for dinner. >.< Tasty food is usually very unhealthy, but I let myself to be sinful for the fact this might be the only time I am going to eat this fried chicken. After all, west to east is really quite far and time consuming.

The time-competing life is going to start again tomorrow. Time to pick up the tempo to get serious on the stuffs on hand. Been too lenient towards myself by keep consoling myself is okie cause this is the last school vacation. Time to catch up with the progression left behind.

Babai!

Princess of Joyous Month

I am feeling too bored that I decided to back track stuffs to like last year. Speaking of why am I so bored, I felt so cheated to be back in school now. My good intention to be back here few days earlier is to discuss project with mentor and prof since he sent an email informing me that prof would like to have a discussion with us. But the main thing is he didn't inform me that my prof has been outstation for most of the time during the December and likely will only be back this week. Likely means he may only be back next week or so when the school starts officially. =.= So here I am lying in this isolated island like Robinson Crusoe wtf. Can't blame cause I was the one who acted smart (trying to show I am initiative) and came back without first confirming with him again. #fail

My favourite past time or rather a habit now is to browse thru the pictures in phone pathetic enough.

The only fun thing I did during my 2-weeks stay here in Dec was planned and celebrated YY's birthday! Okie, the planning part is kinda fail cause nobody taking the planning in thoughts pun. This was also my first and last time be initiative (see, dunno what I want to prove pun) suggesting and planning for somebody's birthday. My usual position is be supporting role like filter ideas for present, tag along for present hunting, attend the party wtf.

Anyway, decided to celebrated at Everything with Fries @ Holland V. Rarely hang out at Holland V but I thought that is a good gathering venue since there are quite some decent-looking dining places there and also lots of pub ehem.

Quite a cozy place but it was EXTREMELY noisy the other day that I was basically shouting instead of talking fml. Had a sore throat the following days, probably due to the fries also.

Those invited to the party! :)

The attendance was quite well done I would say after all it was a school vacation and most of us should be away from school. This time round, most of us stuck here cause of FYP or works. It is still better than last year whereby we was stuck here cause of exam.

If you have noticed something usual at the pic above,

HAHA! The props I bought for the birthday girl! :D I always like the idea of throwing a themed-party, which I assume is pretty common at western countries, or get some props for the birthday baby. Initial plan was to get helium gas balloon and made her hold and walk around, but to dismay the party shop at JP was closed down since I don't know when. Out of desperation, I got this hairband for her instead! #proud though it is meant for kids. LOL! I think it looks quite pretty.

Everything with Fries doesn't just serve fries obviously. They have different varieties of fries for you to choose for your main course. Couldn't recall it exactly but I think they have like 4 or 5 flavors? Besides the flavors, there are also two types of fries to be chosen from, which are the shoestring and straight-cut, I guess. I didn't know what kind of fries shape is consider as shoestring or straight-cut, but to the best of my knowledge, I thought shoestring is twisted/curly fries but it ended up that shoestring is a thin type fries like McD served and straight-cut is the thicker type. #embarrassing

My favourite moment --> Food galore!

Honestly, they don't have much choices for main course, just like the fries. LOL! 8 of us ordered only 4 different types of main course since most of us don't favour beef. They have this special dish which is "Char Siew" (second row first pic from left), which is something I had not see in western food. I think the "Char Siew" is not to my liking and my pork chop didn't taste good as well. The texture is kinda too hard for my liking and they smelt too pork-ish, which is a real disgust. Shall try on their Hamburger next time, they looks so hugely appealing! :)

Not much surprise for their main course and fries, but this is absolutely nice!

Nutella tart!!! Yum!

Might be a bit too sweet for most people liking. Best eaten while served hot and with ice cream too! The dessert itself doesn't come with ice cream so you have to add on.

Apple crumble pie I guess? This is served with ice cream, which I ended up eating the ice cream with nutella tart instead. :P This pie is go-er for those prefer less sweetened dessert. It is slightly sour to my liking though.

For the whole night, the most satisfied moment will be dessert time.

Birthday cake, which we barely finished after dessert. Too stuffed up with fries and nutella tart.

Birthday girl!

Faking to make a wish? LOL!

Present we got for her after all the efforts behind the scene lol!

She is liking it. :)

Nomz nomz nomz

Handicapped iphone's camera. Cannot handle well with flash. But still it works quite well for indoor shots. Woes of cameraless. :(

Think my instax can work better! :) Like the present so much guys! HEHE!

Behind the scene.

This is a bit unglam I supposed. LOL!

LOL! Lighter of the day!

Then the birthday girls made us did this!

Now who fit the crown best? :P

The Year when I become Better

New year resolutions! Though I am few days late.

Can't recall what were my last year resolutions, don't bother to dig them out as well wtf.

So I guess no points cracking my brain to nuts and making the long list yet to implement them?

But I still want to write a few words #kiasu

To 24-years old Me:

1. Be ease-minded and calm for the sake of liver's health cause you have not earn to afford a transplant.

2. Spare more valuable times for family.

3. Develop relationship/grow fondness towards human not non-living things.

4. Be initiative and stay connected with friends that matter.

5. Slow down from time to time amid the busy schedule to contemplate about future that truly belongs.

6.Live in self-confidence and not living depending on comparison with others.

7. Pick up reading habits again. Knowledge is the only thing you bring together when you die beside your body.

8. Leave out ego cause it doesn't even worth a single penny/ a single relationship/ a single accomplishment.

Let's pray that 2012 is not the end of world else I have no next year to witness how much I have grow, mentally.

2011 is definitely memorable with a few first-times. Gonna make 2012 even better than last year. Life is being improving yourself, letting yourself to grow wiser and become a better person. Whatever sweets or bitters of 2011, I am leaving them behind since 1/1/12. I know what I want for 2012, I think I know.

Hopefully 2012 is going to treat everyone well in one way or another.
