My Last Buffday as an Undergrad

I guess the post title justified all.

My buffday as a final year undergrad in NTU emo to the max T.T

Thanks Facebook for reminding me my birthday wtf. Yea, I was and am busy that I can forget my birthday.

My first celebration was not on the exact day.

Anyone think this is super cute and the person who drew that is talented? :D Honestly, I couldn't really figured out what is beneath that dragon head until others told me. HAHA! It looks like the girl panicked and trying to escape from the fire with dragon head lol.

This is going to be the last time celebrating with troupe's friends :( I can still remember my first year celebration but this year of course more special la since I am quite influential in the troupe already wtf. You won't take this seriously right? :P

Thank you so much for the card, cake and the birthday songs in 4 different languages @~@ But I guess you all won't read this haha! NTUDL is one of the most important thing in my life as an undergrad.

Then on eve, LG happily kidnapped me to this ulu place.

East Coast Park!

Looks like a holiday right? Wait til I show you something.

Tadaa~~~

The resort is dirty, damp and dirty. We requested twice to change/upgrade to another type of resort only to have us ended up in this not much better upgraded resort with no extra charge =.= Credit goes to Vern, who risked herself to wrap the bowl up lol! But we forgot to remove it when we left wtf.

In case you wonder what so fun about East Coast Park. This will tell you.

Cycling and rollerblade! I don't do both :(

BBQ!

Behind the scenes!!

I didn't snap these secretly yea.

So after the most filling ever BBQ, we went down to the beach. Yea ECP has a beach line. So all of them jumped into the sea except me. :D I don't know why but NTU students have this kind of weird tradition to throw birthday girl/boy into water, be it pool, pond and even sea, be it in campus or off campus wtf. I escaped cause of certain reason la. No pics taken cause someone brought a low-battery camera >.<

Card game session while waiting clock to strike 12!

And it was 12!

They forced me pick up candles like that. One by one. >.< I think this is consider very lenient wtf.

Trying hard to cut the cake. While she busy dissecting my camera. @~@

Yummy BR cake! Love the marshmallow flavor ice-cream in the cone! :)

Huge birthday card, which they tried very hard to cover it at the start til the end they gave up and just let me caught them doing bit of it. LOL!

Can you spot the picture I took in the card? Obviously not the picture of myself. Ask me if you don't know. :P

The nicely drawn instant camera credit goes to Rachel!

You should have guess what they gave me as present though I didn't expect it pun.

Yeah! They gave me this! Arghh!!! :):)

Say hello to my face and my little mini! I know I look cui. What to do rushing 2 presentations still want to blog here :P

Okie I can explain this. I had an exactly same camera before but I sold it away due to certain reason and regretted very much after that. Now it is back! Though is not the same, my old one perhaps living happily with the new owner :(

Close-up lens a.k.a camwhore lens. Given by Vern hehe :)

Use it instantly!

Pics taken outside our resort the next day before we left. Forgot to adjust the setting so the exposure. See my Mickey film cute right?

Tired to the max on return day and there was a presentation on Monday @~@ Luckily it went well like it should. :)

But, I really would like to thanks everyone who celebrated with me, wished me in Facebook and even tried calling me up to wish me! ♥

Here is a more proper photo of the latest production of little mini.

From left to right: Kevin, Chee Seng, Uncle Cheng, Zhivern, Rachel, Yurong

All of you are so awesome! (including you all who are not in the pics! ♥)

那些年

Have anyone heard of this movie? (or watched it?) This theme song is quite nice, perhaps already shared long time ago in FB. I know I am outdated to the max. >.<

九把刀 I think he is quite talented.

I like his words looking at the lyrics. Simple and understandable lol!

Perhaps his story will just be a story like fairy tale we used to watch when we was kids. In Asian context of course. :P

"那天晚上滿天星星

平行時空下的約定"

Think few people will look up to the sky and count stars now. We are too busy counting other things in our life. With light pollution everywhere, it is really hard to spot a beautiful sky full of stars sad.

But it is great to have this kind of story coming in sometimes, to remind us how beautiful relationship can be. Not just BGR la wtf. I truly believe that this ain't just a love story. It is more than that.

Design no more

I don't feel guilty for leaving here with no updates seriously. After all, I don't make a living by blogging or commit to any of my readers. (Cause they are very understanding nice people :D).

These 2 weeks had been really different. I mean school. Okie, maybe final year is really different from the rest of the study years. Assignments are flooding my brain and desk, both real desk and desk on my Window. 3 presentations in line for the next coming 3 weeks and yes am still rushing for them from scratching for info to preparing the script. Thus life. I wish final will just come right away like tomorrow maybe?

I had this totally different course for this semester, which school decided to implement it on our batch, i.e. the guinea pig. My course itself is a guinea pig sadly :( But I guess we are too old to start picking up designing stuffs by now. @~@ Brainstorming is killing, concept screening is mad, designing is definitely a hell assignment. Now some more the lecturer keep inviting guest lecturers from different aspect of designing expecting us to incorporate into our presentations? Last Thursday was a white-haired man talking on patent, which is relatively a new exposure. Oh well, who cares what patent is. But proven that it is one of the powerful thing that you must know if you are earning by design. Then today a guest lecturer from my favourite school in uni talking on the designing process. I seriously can't believe that they actually think we can learn the designing process in 1 hour lecture when the school's students spend one semester on that? Well, I really don't know.. I quite like the lecture though. But but... that lecturer... broke my clock! Okie, I don't bring a clock to school. The clock in my classroom. Yes, you can't call any of the lecture hall/seminar room/tutorial room your classroom in uni but I definitely can! Cause imma going to spend my last and 4th year in this seminar room proud! The clock had been accompanying me and us for 4 years and now it is gone! *damn sad* I want my clock back. :( Now the room is so different without the clock emo to the max.

The lesson of today is don't buy a glass clock. Just get any cheap plastic clock wtf.

Okie, days are really bored. But I think that designing course is really interesting yet torturing. Start to lose track of what imma going to say. *nevermind pat pat*

I finally had cupcakes from Twelve Cupcake happy.

So I whatsapp my Sis and said "Let's make cupcakes when I go back!" And she said " I dun like cupcakesssss"

Fine, are we from the same parents? I doubt so.

Just a verbal diarrhea post and I am off to explore stars and galaxy.

When Capsicum meets Pasta

Ever since the meal I had when I was flying with MAS to HK, I start to fall for pasta salad. Yes, I ulu people never eat pasta salad before til the flight meal wtf.

So I was going to try out to prepare my own since it looks rather easy. Salad is probably the easiest to start with if you know nothing about cooking, I guess pasta salad should be quite similar. I procrastinated, have been packed up with school stuffs since I was back. Until last week, finally decided to try it out, cause there were guinea pigs. So why not? *grin* I am not that bad in cooking sense pun.

Fond capsicum. For the colours hehe..

Just grabbed a random but apparently easiest recipe. I think I used this. Actually just need the recipe for dressing. The ingredients wise are quite simple and of course can be personalized. :D

I spoiled myself for my own choices, regardless of my guinea pigs' choices. HAHA!

Capsicums, tomatoes, corns and sausages.

The most difficult part should be cooking the pasta. @~@ I kept checking if the pasta was cook or overcooked wtf. Had a bad experience with overcooked angel hair and I hate it very much, ignoring the fact that I somewhat had bad encounterment with angel hair before that already.

Actually I purposely asked Vern to buy green capsicum so that the whole thing looks colorful and appetizing like this when you mix all ingredients together.

Very satisfied. With the colour. :)

Oh, I think you need to leave the ingredients slight cooled off before you mix them. (For those you cooked/heated them up like sausages.)

Come to the dressings, er-uh, I didn't follow the recipe. >.< I always don't follow recipe especially those quantities. I like to personalize even my own sauce/dressings. So I only added in olive oil, vinegar, salt and peppers. No exact quantities since I don't have necessary utensils pun. You know, engineering course always emphasized on approximation. So I am just applying my knowledge in daily life, else wasted my 4-years degree cis. *roll eyes* Haha!

Ended up, there was excessive oil and I tried to salvage them by.... You won't want to know how I did it. :D Anyway, my mission failed. >.<

But is ok. That was my first time.

Erm.. Not only did the oil was in excess, actually the "pasta salad" was quite tasteless also faint. Don't know is it cause I never follow recipe or got the wrong one (for being lazy). In the end I added in quite some pepper. Finally it tasted like a food. A pepper-flavored pasta salad proud.

Packed them into 5 for my guinea pigs and stored in fridge. LOL!

Looks not bad right? Really macam restaurant served that kind haha. And it is edible!

I decided next time I will eat out instead.

Brewing Wind of Apple

As most of you would know by now.

Iphone 5 is not coming out (soon). Such a bad news.

Instead Apple cheers you up with Iphone 4S! :) Today, I finally surrender and admit that Facebook is the most awesome stalker web social networking web. Not like I will check Apple website daily also. But I guess people are frantically looking forward Iphone 5 so when Iphone 4S is announced, the video is shared multiple times in like an hour or less.

I can't stop wondering how amazing Apple has made it for all these years from an anonymous to now the leader in smartphone trend. Must find one day go read the history of Apple dozing off.

So now I am going to force you watch this video again haha!

Siri is gonna be the next hot girl in town! *wink*

From the video, what I can conclude are
1. Stop dreaming. Iphone 5 ain't coming out any sooner.
2. Stop believing when people are telling you frantically how cool is Iphone 5 paranoid.
3. The screen is not going to be bigger than Iphone 4 yet.
4. Awesome 8MP camera!!! :) :) You will see more and more people flood your Facebook homepage with any sense or non-sense, ugly or pretty pictures.

Okie, admit it. I am jealous with the 8MP camera! :( Best if they are making the front camera 8MP also vain!

The only thing to anticipate is how extraordinary Siri can be to make Iphone 4S continue to dictate the smart phone world. :)

Did I confess how much I ♥ Iproduct?

Pounds of Roll

I want to blog but I don't know what to post. Presumably tonight is kinda slack (cause endless discussions yet to start) and taking a break of from job-hunting (continue to haunt after recess fml).
So I decided to back track my stuff. Good stuff of course! :)

Just right before the hottest noon I went to Snoopy's World, me and Vern woke up early in the morning just to go all the way down North Point (北角) to Q at this famous shop for

EGG ROLL!

See the Q so long pun know is good stuff! :D We spotted the Q before we saw the shop.

德成號

Remind me of those old shops that still stand after a decade. Still serving the best hand-made food that you will not find them in next decade maybe.

But I don't know if this shop still hand made la!

Saw local uncles and aunties Q-ing for them so I guess if locals are thinking this is good, it should be good hehe!

Egg rolls and egg rolls only. Come in three flavour --> Original, Butter and Coconut. Simple yet delicious.

Auntie packing swiftly after orders were taken and paid.

Finally after around half and hour of standing under the hot and humid weather.

Hooray! Souvenirs for home. #weightlifting

I was wondering why no people, I mean tourists, know about this before. Oh well, compare to those commonly popular one like 钜记, no one brought me egg roll from HK before.

And finally I decided I know why.

Imagine for that 1 pound of the egg roll, how many pounds you have to carry if you have that much of relatives/friends faint. @~@ It was damn heavy even it was just 4 pounds for me! No kidding, I will not import this back for any reason at all if I am ever going down to HK again. I will just grab those nicely pack almond biscuits.

But I have to praise myself for being a good packer (I am fast and efficient too!) haha! Probably I have packed countless times ever since I am here. 4 pounds reached Msia safe and sound and in the most perfect conditions. :D

So I rewarded myself for the energy consumed to import them back. Basically I think I finished 1.5 pounds all by myself. (Minus 2 pounds which I gave to grandma and ah gong.)

Milo is still the best to go with anything. Especially with this aromatic and thick layer of egg roll yum! You won't find this thick and firm egg roll in Msia, not that I know of.

Do drop by and get yourself perhaps a pound to try next time you are in HK. My humblest opinion will say it worth the Q time. :)
