Eternal happiness or Mirage

The ladder to happiness:

1. Be merciful to yourself. Get your shopping desires fulfilled, a nice weekend gateway, board the next flight to the place you want to go next.

2. Read. Read. And Read. Contemplate what you read. Let the knowledge/inspiration empowered you.

3. Do what you have passion on. Baking, cooking, dancing, singing, photography.. and the list go on. But make sure you write down your list and know exactly what are your interests.

4. Care and love. Care for those you care for and love those who you will never regret loving them. Need me say more?

5. Stay young at heart and stop counting your age. You will only be 18 once and 80 once/none. Live your life like everyday is a miracle. Staying alive is a miracle. You can die in sleep or choked to death by a piece of toufu lol. The point here is you never know when your life going to be over.

6. Let your positivity OUT. You can be influenced by everyone and anyone. Everyone and anyone can spread their negativity to you. But you are the only one who can decide if you would like to be affected by the negativity or shine in your own way to inspire others.

7. Get yourself a list. Write down what you want the most in life. Write them down in your heart. Cause brain may forget but heart will always tell you what matters to you most.

8. Stay healthy. Physically and mentally.

The ultimate eight rules.

One day I will read this back and wondering if I achieve any of them.

Levain

Simply love weekend which I can just nua at home. Spending away the time unconstructively. Please don't come, Monday.

A gourmet craze blasted out recently. Both here and across the causeway.

Had a chance and piece of luck to drop by for brunch @ Levain during the CNY holidays. Thanks to the adventurous buddies and Waze. Surprisingly or not, it did lead us to the destination. #firstworldtechnology And yea the journey made me wonder why do I know so little about the place that I grown up in.

The little signboard which we spotted before confirming the destination.

Because that place looks nothing like a conventional shop.

I even suspected Waze brought us to some ulu places but not our destination. #facepalm And then we discovered that that's because all the "shops" look like this.

A house-renovated-into-shop. With a big but non-functional oven.

Indeed a surprise to me that we do have such buildings/shops in KL. They are pretty unique. I think I would tell people that I am from my home instead of KL. Little that I know about this place.

We was all hungry and readied to dig in. To spot what gems are hiding behind this gourmet cafe.

And the answer

a varieties of gourmet.

Looked temptingly delicious to such a flour-loving person like me.

To be honest, we was completely lost when we stepped in.

Firstly the shop is slightly crowded (yea what would you expect on a weekend during a festive period),  second I guessed our eyes were blinded by the huge varieties laid on trays after trays and third maybe we was simply too hungry that we just wanted to grab and eat and the rest don't matter lol.

Lucky for this directory board.

I called it a directory board because it did give u the direction or rather instructions on how to go about the craze in the shop.

It was really considerate (and cute) that they actually provided with "Occupied" tag for you to hog your table. No more tissue paper hogging culture haha! Maybe I shall considered bringing one such tag for myself next time.

With the "Occupied" tag on the table and "someone" sitting at our table (helped to jaga seats HAHA), finally we could march towards the food.

These black furry balls were so adorable. Except that they didn't have fur and you could eat them. There was another tray of white balls too!

The damage that we did. They served spaghetti too! Ordered a seafood aglio to share. Just a simple dish of spaghetti nothing much to praise about.

As for the gourmet, I only like the fruit tart. Because I have always like tart. :)) Nothing so special for the cinnamon bun and pizza (except they were bigger slice than what you can get at bread shop, which you probably pay lesser?) The cup of chocolate mousse with cream puffs was quite good but we got jelat of the chocolate mousse because it was slightly too sweet. The puffs were good though. Not too creamy and greasy. I personally hate the lasagne. :( Have no idea what kind of ingredient/herb that they used but it tasted quite awful for my tongue. -____- And the quiche. My first time trying a quiche (I even need to google how to spell it -___-) Don't know how a good quiche should be, but it was quite good for a first try. Slightly too thick I would say especially the egg portion, I would prefer it to be thinner. Just me.

That was really a heavy brunch. But it was free. :D

A two storey shop and we chose the second level. Don't choose it if you are lazy. Because all the food are downstair. You probably will feel too lazy to go down grab more food. Yea my butt feels heavy all the times especially when I am hungry. :P

Like the surrounding and deco though. Quite a homely feeling place to eat in. Minus off the noise of course.

Oh and we had an "honourable" friend to help us jaga the seat when we was away to hunt for food.

Introducing..

goat.

Okie I don't even know his name. Maybe he has none also. :P

Say hello! Not the patch of grass.

You have no idea how much effort needed to put up this picture.

See behind the scene.

Adjusted the position and lighting and finally a picture like that. LOL

Burrrpp!

Take home food.

Macaroons!!!

I kinda like the pistachio. :D

Thanks buddies for the ride and treat!

Shall see you two again NEXT year. :')

Tommy le Baker for next try maybe? :)
