When Capsicum meets Pasta

Ever since the meal I had when I was flying with MAS to HK, I start to fall for pasta salad. Yes, I ulu people never eat pasta salad before til the flight meal wtf.

So I was going to try out to prepare my own since it looks rather easy. Salad is probably the easiest to start with if you know nothing about cooking, I guess pasta salad should be quite similar. I procrastinated, have been packed up with school stuffs since I was back. Until last week, finally decided to try it out, cause there were guinea pigs. So why not? *grin* I am not that bad in cooking sense pun.

Fond capsicum. For the colours hehe..

Just grabbed a random but apparently easiest recipe. I think I used this. Actually just need the recipe for dressing. The ingredients wise are quite simple and of course can be personalized. :D

I spoiled myself for my own choices, regardless of my guinea pigs' choices. HAHA!

Capsicums, tomatoes, corns and sausages.

The most difficult part should be cooking the pasta. @~@ I kept checking if the pasta was cook or overcooked wtf. Had a bad experience with overcooked angel hair and I hate it very much, ignoring the fact that I somewhat had bad encounterment with angel hair before that already.

Actually I purposely asked Vern to buy green capsicum so that the whole thing looks colorful and appetizing like this when you mix all ingredients together.

Very satisfied. With the colour. :)

Oh, I think you need to leave the ingredients slight cooled off before you mix them. (For those you cooked/heated them up like sausages.)

Come to the dressings, er-uh, I didn't follow the recipe. >.< I always don't follow recipe especially those quantities. I like to personalize even my own sauce/dressings. So I only added in olive oil, vinegar, salt and peppers. No exact quantities since I don't have necessary utensils pun. You know, engineering course always emphasized on approximation. So I am just applying my knowledge in daily life, else wasted my 4-years degree cis. *roll eyes* Haha!

Ended up, there was excessive oil and I tried to salvage them by.... You won't want to know how I did it. :D Anyway, my mission failed. >.<

But is ok. That was my first time.

Erm.. Not only did the oil was in excess, actually the "pasta salad" was quite tasteless also faint. Don't know is it cause I never follow recipe or got the wrong one (for being lazy). In the end I added in quite some pepper. Finally it tasted like a food. A pepper-flavored pasta salad proud.

Packed them into 5 for my guinea pigs and stored in fridge. LOL!

Looks not bad right? Really macam restaurant served that kind haha. And it is edible!

I decided next time I will eat out instead.
